The fourth week is a week with a lot of things going on for the puppies. They have now fully adapted to their new environment and they are all leaving the whelpingbox. They are discovering toys and within a few days they also recognised sounds, e.g. when the door opens. Then they are immediately there.
This week, the first future owners visited the puppies. The puppies loved it. Rosie had a different opinion. So I had to be resourceful to get Rosie to greet the visitors in a friendly manner. Things went better and better as the week progressed.
Now that the puppies are becoming so much more mobile, things are not getting any quieter for Rosie. She sometimes makes it clear to the puppies that she needs rest. The puppies understand this perfectly well. To ensure that Rosie can really find some peace and quiet, she can jump up on the grooming table. But she prefers to be at the same height as the puppies.
This week, the puppies started eating soaked kibble, which went smoothly. In addition to this food, the puppies still get milk from their mother. Rosie still has plenty of milk. Since their teeth have already come in, Rosie is not always enthusiastic about letting them drink.
