It’s the eighth week, and then it’s all over. Rosie is going home and the puppies will also be moving to their new homes. Rosie has had a bit more rest over the last few days and has been playing with her mum, Nana. We can see that it’s really time for the puppies to start exploring the world on their own.
The week began with a few more lovely visitors at the weekend, which made the puppies very happy again. Papa Merc came to visit and brought his tin-openers with him. He had a look at the litter of puppies but was absolutely determined not to take any home. We also did some work in the garden, which meant the puppies got to know lots of new sounds better. We drove the tractor back and forth and worked with the digger. The chainsaw was put to use too.

Then on Tuesday, it was time for a car journey and a visit to the vet. All the puppies were checked over and found to be in good health. They all received their vaccinations and microchips. A small blood sample was also taken for the database.
On Wednesday, the litter inspection took place. The whole litter was examined and a brief temperament test was carried out. The puppies handled it all brilliantly. The breeding supervisors were very pleased with the litter.

And then, at the end of the week, we’ll be saying goodbye to the little ones. They’ve all found wonderful homes with very dedicated owners. We wish the puppies all the best!!
